Terms of Service
Welcome to ClockSquad. By creating an account or accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Workspaces and Account Registration
- Account Creation: You must provide a valid email address and display name to register. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Multi-Workspace Ownership: A single user account can create, own, or belong to multiple workspaces. Each workspace acts as an independent billing and database instance.
- Database Ownership: You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over all content, stories, projects, and time logs stored within your workspace’s database file.
2. Plan Limits and Flat Billing
- Flat Monthly Tiers: ClockSquad bills on a flat monthly rate per workspace based on its seat limit. We do not charge per-user seat fees.
- Seat Enforcement: If the active user count in a workspace exceeds the seat limit of its active plan (e.g. more than 1 user on the Free plan, or more than 10 users on the Starter plan), you must upgrade the workspace tier or remove members to continue.
- No Gated Features: Every plan, including the Free Solo tier, includes the full feature suite. We do not gate advanced features (like invoices, roles, or agile settings) behind higher pricing tiers.
- Guest Collaborators: Guest collaborator accounts are 100% free and do not count toward your seat limit brackets. Guests are restricted to backlog prioritization and story creation/editing on their assigned projects. They cannot log time or manage active timers.
3. Databases, Deletion, and Exports
- Sovereignty: Your workspace data is physically isolated in a dedicated database file.
- Database Exports: To ensure complete data sovereignty and prevent vendor lock-in, we provide a database export feature. Workspace Owners can download the entire physical database file for their workspace at any time, at their convenience.
- Permanence: If a workspace Owner permanently deletes a workspace, the associated database file is permanently deleted from our active servers. This action is irreversible. We are not responsible for recovering data from deleted database files once the deletion is finalized.
4. Fair Use and Restrictions
You agree not to use ClockSquad to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws.
- Disrupt or abuse the service’s API endpoints or central registry systems.
- Attempt unauthorized access to other workspaces’ database files.
5. Limitation of Liability
ClockSquad is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors. In no event shall ClockSquad be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
6. Modifications to Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We may update these terms from time to time. Your continued use of ClockSquad after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
